Hi,

The Dhamra port in Orissa is not only threatening the Olive Ridley sea
turtles, it is also being constructed on forest land without permission
   from the Central government.

Based on letters issued by its own officials, a case was filed against the
Ministry of Environment and Forest and the Orissa government in October
last year for violating the Forest Conservation Act, 1980. Till now
neither have filed a response before the Supreme Courta**s Central
   Empowered Committee.

Greenpeace is taking a petition asking environment minister Jairam Ramesh
to take a stand and the violation of the Forest Conservation Act.

I have already signed this petition. You can also sign it and ensure that
   Jairam Ramesh takes necessary action.

   Thanks!
