The concept is called multi-seat linux 

What is multi-seat?
Here on a single cpu box, we have pci vga card, extra
keyboard,monitor,mouse. Allow two persons to simultaneously
use system.
What is required
a.Regular system with preferebly 1gb ram
b.Install debian lenny
c.Add PCI VGA/agp card like nvdia. Or if existing card has two monitor
support the same can be used.
d.Add extra monitor to this card.
e.Add usb keyboard and mouse
f.Now  install mdm.
