[Ilugc] Reg: grub & installing wireless network interface

Hi Everyone,
                      I have two doubts please make me clear,
                          1. I insalled ubuntu 9.10 and in my sytem there is
xp before i need to boot xp by default via grub boot loader and not ubuntu
                          2. In that system i connected with wireless
networking and i cannot able to connect the wireless connection. It is bsnl
wireless modem. Please guide me to change these steps.
