Hi, Today in The Times of India it was published that a company has made a font for the new Rupee symbol in .ttf format. The link is: http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Heres-how-to-download-new-rupee-symbol-for-free/articleshow/6182289.cms Then I read Gaurav Paliwal's article on how to use the same on Linux:http://bit.ly/cnWYQO I searched wikipedia & found ttf is a proprietary format. Lets create a font using FreeType2 or other open format. We can use SVG to generate the vector image. There is a web based editor SVGedit: code.google.com/p/svg-edit or search SVGedit on Wikipedia.
