There were some earlier reports of lobbying by interested parties
to shunt him out of Elcot some years ago. He's perhaps one of the
few IAS officers around who is comfortable with tech and can
even program competently.
Saddening.
I remember him playing an instrumental roll in promoting FOSS in govt
depts and
he is a very knowledgeable and upright man .
In the spirit of LUG, all members should do whatever possible to
ring fence this good man.
