Dear Friends, After heated discussions (which was civil throughout), ilugc.tamil, an younger sibling to ilugc was born on July 22, 2009 with the announcement by Prof Sriram to the list.
Just an update to those members who are not part of the Tamil list. 1. There are 74 members in the Tamil list as of now. 2. 153 messages were sent to the list during the past one week (though much of the traffic can be attributed to myself and Amachu, more than 20 members participated in discussions). We hope to have more activities through the list and supplement current efforts of ilugc in spreading FOSS in Chennai, Tamil Nadu and other parts of world. The younger sibling is fortunate to have the backing of a strong ilugc built over 9 years with tireless efforts of volunteers. Thanks.
