So, I don't know if you are being sarcastic, but I wasn't born with a
silver Linux CD in my hands. Even today, I sometimes fear asking
questions on some mailing lists, thinking they may be too stupid. :-)

To disable an user account temporarily, as super-user do:
#passwd <username> -l. This changes the password for the user
some non-decipherable encrypted  value. To  re-enable/ unlock 
this account, do: #passwd <username> -u
