If I remember right, the first ILUGC ( or the chennailug) was held in one of the founding member's house. As the famous saying goes ' a thousand mile journey starts with single step'. Look at Kanchilug - they meet on the lawns of 1200 year old temple. Few mandapas on steps of Marudhumalai comes to my mind for you. It is will that is important. b.There is no point in planning too much in this kind of activity. We are not going to send rocket to moon - where you have only one chance. Our activities can be corrected over a period of time. But there should be some activitiy. c.In my humble (or perverted/irrational/arrogant) opinion mailing doesn't help in organisational matters - only personal rapport with others help. So don't discuss too much of time on ideas. Whatever you can start immediately start now - get people involved. d.Try to attract industry people - for sustaining. Do not just concentrate only on students. f.For God's sake do not ask question like - I want to start lug ,give me idea what to do?. Instead putforth your plan and then ask for suggestion. You will get meaningful discussion.
