Hope this will solve your problem Well I did google, as did a live boot it worked. I did finally solve the issue, I did a reinstall with manual partition and there I found it marked the partition as do not use this partition hence grub was unable to find root when I changed it and reinstallted again it worked fine, This reply is from the freshly installed ubuntu.
