It could be a bug in your bash script.  Try running it "bash -x <your

expect is written in TCL. I got errors when I tried to download and
configure expect, (to use it in the bash script). I tried the -x option, it
didn't throw any errors, nor does it show the parameters being passed to the
prompt. Will let you knw once I succeed.
