The openings are for the following positions in R&D. 1. Role: Member, R&D (Website development) This role will be responsible for development of the customer facing website (www.GREedge.com) → 1-2 years of experience in development of next generation Websites and web-based applications → Should be passionate about developing user Interface designs that create Wow feeling !!! → Should have ability to understand end user behavior and accordingly design, develop and implement high-quality front end code in a timely manner → Should have good communication skills and aptitude → Should have strong experience in web development and object oriented programming → Strong expertise in technologies like PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX is required. Expertise in Drupal programming will be a strong value add. → Knowledge of Flash, XML, Web Server, CPanel , Photoshop, Front-page and Dreamweaver would be an advantage. → Experience in developing social networking features on the website and integrating with popular social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter or developing Facebook application will be an added advantage o Language: PHP5 o Front End: JavaScript, CSS, XHTML o Databases: MySQL o JavaScript frameworks e.g. jQuery, ExtJS etc. The candidate should have the ability to actively engage with the marketing function of the company, understand the end user requirements and able to translate them into web features that have powerful impact on the end user (customer). Role: Member, R&D (Smart applications and tools for delivery of online learning) The role is responsible for creating smart, efficient and scalable software systems to address the online learning needs. → Candidate should be from an engineering background with 0 - 1 years Experience → Should have good communication skills and aptitude → Should be strong in Logical and Analytical skills → Should have strong expertise in programming in PHP, Java and MYSQL → Good knowledge of Linux, Apache and application servers such as Tomcat and JBoss. The candidate should be a quick learner, enthusiastic about creating smart solutions in an energetic team working environment. This role requires working with subject matter experts to understand the learning needs of the students and the issues associated with online learning delivery. The role requires creating smart, efficient and scalable software systems to address the online learning needs. Deep interest in developing software systems for online learning process will be a strong advantage. 3. Role: Member, R&D (Backend platform for online learning) The role is responsible for development and evolution of our core learning platform that supports delivery of various learning needs. You will be involved in the road mapping, architecting, developing and maintaining the core platform. → Candidate should be from an engineering background with 2 - 3 years Experience in developing robust back-end business logic solutions. → Should have good communication skills and aptitude → Should be strong in Requirement Analysis and Problem solving with strong Logical , Analytical skills → Programming Skills o Languages - OOPS concepts and Java o J2EE Skill set - Struts , Servlets, JSP , EJB or Hibernate o Scripting :- JavaScript, JQuery o Modeling languages - UML o Database – MySql The candidate should have had experience in product development environment requiring deep analysis of end user requirements and behaviors and translating them into powerful product features.
