Hi,

     My dad has a Lenovo Ideapad S10-3S, and I face the same problem. I traced 
that the problem was due to the "dolby surround headphones" feature. So, i'm 
also working on how to get around this issue. Please check that if your laptop 
also has the dolby certified sticker or something like that.


     I guess it changes the the line-in to another line-out, so that you can 
get 4 channel audio. But the control is only through windows (which I barely 
used for an hour :-P), so I'm not sure. It works with only software control I 
guess... (like the old winmodems)
