Indian context:

first rule is unless it is an announcement of general interest to
several lists, do not cross post.

secondly if you urgently need a reply for your question, please realise
that the members of these groups are not paid to reply to you. If you
post on several lists, one list may give you the reply you want - all
the others are left hanging wondering what the solution was.

thirdly choose the list most likely to give a result. For me, for things
related to hardware, embedded, kernel, anything related to licenses, and
more arcane things like DRM and patents - Mumbai LUG

programming and software in general - Chennai LUG

python - the chennaipy and bangpypers

local issues - the local LUG concerned

OT trolling and igniting flamewars - Mumbai LUG

If the list chosen does not offer a solution, then try on another list.

(btw, why have you suddenly put a reply-to yourself in your list mails.
most lists are set to reply-to list - but your reply-to overrides this
and I find I am sending replies to you offlist. Please fix this)
