Hardware - Dell Mini 1012 OS - Maverick Wifi - Broadcom My issue: 1. I suspend the PC by closing the lid while Wifi is alive. 2. I move across physical locations to a diffferent Wifi network and power up the machine from suspend state. 3. NM showing trying Wifi to the configured SSID but fails.
Diagnosis: It seems like the NM is using the previous WiFi network settings for security to connect to this network/SSID. Reason - it shows an alert connecting to the correct SSID but the failure alert for this connection shows the earlier SSID. Actions tried: 1. Restart networking and NM - same problem. 2. System restart resolves the issue. Need: I hate this hammer approach and feel there must be an elegant way.
