Hi Friends, I had installed ubuntu 10.10 on my windows PC (WUBI) inside windows. I had to reinstall my windows so I installed the ubuntu directly onto the hard disk using the option 'alongside the existing OS'. This asked me to select whether to install on the whole disk or the largest partition on the disk. I went on with the latter. After the installation, I could see the windows 7 on the boot options, but i cannot boot into it. I think the ubuntu has changed the filesystem into ext3/ext4 for the whole disk instead of that partition alone. This makes me now inaccessible to the windows 7. This seems different from the previous installations of the ubuntu which never gave me this problem. And the other problem now is, I cannot see the other partitions from ubuntu. My hard disk is of 1TB memory. Now what ubuntu says me is the whole disk is free(945GB). But i have almost of 700GB important data in the drive.
I need some help in recovering this. Also in installing the ubuntu alongside other OS. Thanks and Regards, Manoj Kumar _______________________________________________ ILUGC Mailing List: http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
