how to install grub? when using the following command sudo grub-install --root-directory=/mnt /dev/sdX (used correct drive name) i got error that "warn: Attempting to install GRUB to a partition instead of the MBR. This is a BAD idea.. /usr/sbin/grub-setup: warn: Embedding is not possible. GRUB can only be installed in this setup by using blocklists. However, blocklists are UNRELIABLE and their use is discouraged.. /usr/sbin/grub-setup: error: if you really want blocklists, use --force." I used --force then message came as "Installation complete,No error reported". But grub from 10.10 is not loaded. Now just tell me a method to reinstall grub from 10.10, I can enter into 10.10 os. _______________________________________________ ILUGC Mailing List: http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
