I remember someone saying in some other thread previously,this is due to few of library files and kernel files that are not upgraded to the new ones during upgrade to 11.04 which is not the case in from-scratch installation of 11.04. Though I am not sure what it is, a weird restart shown me some error which mentioned some gnome library files are outdated and asked me to replace(not even upgrade) to avoid the system errors.
