Hi there,

Recently installed Fedora 14 in a Desktop when i logged in i found that
OpenOffice package was missing. May be i might have missed while customizing
it.

I have Fedora 14 DVD sponsored by LinuXpert Systems (Mr. Baskar Selvaraj)
which consists of Packages directory in it with OpenOffice packages.

I tried installing by double clicking on the rpm package files in the DVD
but there are dependencies.

So i tried to manually configure the repository using an *Vi* editor to the
file */etc/yum.repos.d/fedora ...*(dont remember the file name excatly)

After changing the baseurl to DVD path when i try to use

*yum groupinstall openoffice.org-**

i get following error message:

" Cannot retrieve MetaData file (repomd.xml) . Check its path and try again.
"

When i opened the " repomd.xml " file it was empty.

Can you please provide me in step-by-step how to configure the Repository of
the Yum installer and to install all the OpenOffice Packages without
Dependencies?
