If you can read my reply again, it will be clear that my comment was not an effort at policing 'cross posting', but rather against the dangling cross-posts. There is a discussion going on about 'cross-posting' and I am pretty much aware of that. The cross-post of the OP to this list made no sense here, because it was cross-posted somewhere in the middle of the conversation and that is precisely the point I tried to raise. Cross-posting that is being discussed in multiple lists is regarding sharing information across mailing lists and not about 'dangling cross-posts'.
