All IDE sucks. Use real powerfull editor with syntax highlighting and code completion with vim (though it requires plugins to do that and i have seen that in action for C, for java a plugin must be there). it does automated indentation (again through plugin) and code compilation and pasting the output of the code excution in your editor for help on ml or groups is just awesome within vim. Vim is small in mem footprint (even with all these plugins) compared to bloatware called netbeans or eclipse. There is no limitation as to what you c an achive with vim. I have used vim extensively and i am still learning something new about vim. true linux geek feel commnad line is lot better than GUI. I think you are a or aspiring Linux geek which is why you are asking in this M/L. So one more reason to use vim.
