Dear Friends, Last Monday, I was invited to give a guest lecture on FOSS by Mrs. Mythili Prakash, Asst. Prof., Computer Sci. Dept., Shri Sundarlal Shahsun Jain College for Women, TNagar, Chennai.
Nearly 60 girls from BCA course attended along with 5 faculty members. I conducted quiz based on my presentation to assess participant and gave a book on "Linux in easy steps by McGrath" to the winner. In the end, I distributed Fedora-15 LiveCDs and Install DVDs. I encouraged them to join ilugc and participate actively in it. As a outcome of guest lecture, I received a call from them next day and they are willing to implement Moodle based LMS in their college. I directed one of my faculty member to help them. Slides of Mr.Bhaskar from LinuxExpert with snapshot of various applications was also used for presentation. Regards, Benedict J.
