My suggestion would be NOT to go deep in to technological aspects, but to provide a story line on FOSS, its history, and comparison of day to day softwares in proprietary & open source. Since many people would be in some way using computers, we have to start from common people's mindset. Like how licensing costs affect business, and why pirated software may lead to legal issues etc.. We can best use these TV time slots to create a perspective, opinion, and subtle understanding of open source and FOSS among common masses. If such TV program materialises, it will be a boost to open source technologies.
