Currently Ubuntu has the best support for Wacom pen-tablets . Others such as iBall may work , but there would be issues . For example I was helping a person with a iBall pentablet , It worked out of the box , but had some issues with movement , So had to do some tweaking to get things working smoothly . So think before you buy.
