If it was a movie or a talk show then it can be re run by the creators with support from sponsors and advertisements. If it's news, more often than not, it's one time, or atleast a one day show, after which I don't see how it can ever be used apart from reference purposes. So yes, I was expecting the world to give me free beer.. Or at least the empty bottle.
