A programming language helps us practically solve a problem. For mathematical logical minded engineers which of course every good engineer should be, a programming language helps you codify a solution and solve a real problem.
But most of the problems that I have solved in networking and crypto has not involved any programming at all. It is only based on domain knowledge, reading RFCs, browsing and understanding the domain and through real life testing and thinking. Programming is a good way to start but what is necessary is thinking and domain knowledge to know where to apply what knowledge. -Girish On Wed, Apr 25, 2012 at 10:47 AM, Raman.P <[email protected]> wrote: > There is an interesting discussion in slashdot about c/c++ programming > language usage > > Here it is > http://developers.slashdot.org/story/12/04/24/1357205/cc-back-on-top-of-the-programming-heap. > > > Raman.P > blog:http://ramanchennai.wordpress.com/ > _______________________________________________ > ILUGC Mailing List: > http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc -- Gayatri Hitech http://gayatri-hitech.com _______________________________________________ ILUGC Mailing List: http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
