Hi, I have created a small library which will get stock quote for a given symbol using yahoo finance API in Vala. The code is available in https://github.com/prasannatsm/ystockquote. This is based on the ystockquote Python library available at http://goldb.org/ystockquote.html.
The code is very simple and may have bugs. I have tested in my machine with some symbols and seems to work fine. There may be place of improvements and there can be bugs. If you like vala or planning to learn vala this will be a good example. I have just started learning vala and things are going good.
