The mailing list guidelines
(http://www.ilugc.in/mailinglist-guidelines) clearly states that
interleaved, trimmed posting is the recommended style of posting and
not top posting. It is not a bad thing to follow and most people would
understand why if they learn why it is insisted. Kindly avoid top
posting.

And people don't always see things from an ethical point of view and
it has to be considered as a necessary evil to live with imho.
