DigiKam 2.8 with kipi-plugins 2.8 comes with a feature to upload
images to any mediawiki directly.
We can add all the required metadata within DigiKam itself.

We can use it to upload the images to commons with a very simple workflow.

In ubuntu linux, using the following commands, we can install the DigiKam 2.8

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:philip5/extra
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install digikam

Hope this will help us to upload our creations to commons with ease.
