If I say you have to use synaptic package manager or ubuntu software centre to install software they say "this is difficult" and ran away (this happened with engineering students not with common people who don't have any computer experience). Most common computer users knows that using windows will have privacy issues. Most of them don't understand simple thing like using IE will be a big problem - they just use it. I am speaking about software engineers here. I personally have seen people who write device drivers still believing IE is secure - I have tried to educate them about using firefox and they are not ready to switch for security, performance and features reasons. I do have seen people thinking modifying the settings is a difficult thing. Don't see from a software engineer or some one who used computers for 3+ years point of view. Think of a really common man who use computer to do normal work (mail checking, writing documents, etc). Ubuntu also provides software updates. > Ubuntu can release an update which will disable this feature. > > Nice idea :).
