Subject: [fsf-community-team] Ars Technica article on DRM in HTML5
To: [email protected]

There's a lot of important discussion happening at and around
<

>

It'd be great if some of you could post comments highlighting the
problems with the EME proposal, encouraging people to sign the petition
at <http://defectivebydesign.org/no-drm-in-html5> (and share those
comments back with this list). The EFF article is a great one to link to
for explaining the problems.

<http://www.defectivebydesign.org/blog/1106> is another oldie but goodie
that helps explain why DRM is a problem even for streaming rather than
purchases. This is one of the main things we need to address -- that DRM
is no more okay for "streaming" services than it is for downloads that
you "own."
