Karthikeyan, I agree about the USD being propped up by the defense budget. If a common un-regulated virtual currency takes hold, and anonymous transactions become possible, would it matter if you were buying as KinJongUn or GeorgeSoros? Anyone from a darknet could buy from a clearnet, and vice versa. Loyalties wouldn't matter. Public identity would erode. I don't think the currency would devalue.
