One more thing - the ability to configure the radio power level. At that time a few of the Buffalo models had this feature, the APs looked very sleek. However, over a period of time they would simply disappear from the WLAN network. After a few RMA replacements, I concluded that it was a heat dissipation problem. My openWRT box simply keeps working without any complaints.
