command: basename
usage: strip directory and suffix from filenames. It is normally used inside
substitution marks (``) within shell procedures.
syntax: $ basename name [suffix]
example:
1. $ basename /etc/hostname
hostname
2. $ basename /etc/passwd
passwd
3. $ basename /etc/lftp.conf
lftp.conf
4. $ basename /etc/fstab
fstab
5. $ basename /etc/apparmor/subdomain.conf
subdomain.conf
