Dear Fellow Luggies; I can sense many people will feel I am the reason for Baskar unsubscribing from this list. So far in this thread I asked a direct question and got vague replies. Now that this reply from Baskar has been posted, I want to clarify. 3 months back, Baskar asked me if I could help him in a 2-day workshop. I agreed, and in my slides, I displayed my company logo to which Baskar objected, and said only his company logo should be displayed. I then removed my company logo for the rest of the workshop, and politely declined to involve in any further of his requests to help.
So in this thread when Baskar asked for help, again I asked for clarity; and after 3 emails, it has emerged Baskar cannot do the program with his company; but he is still insisting others to do only on behalf of ilugc, whatever that means. ---------------- The aim of ilugc is to spread the knowledge, awareness and use of FOSS. I will do this to the best of my ability, and largely I will be charging some money for these activities. I do not feel guilty about it, since Free in FOSS stands for Freedom, not Gratis. Instead of arguing, I am going to post about the potential, skills available; projects needed, opportunities etc. revolving around FOSS. If needed, I will put [Commercial] tag to all such posts to satisfy the pedants. The growth of FOSS is more important than petty arguments in a mailing list. ...KRS _______________________________________________ ILUGC Mailing List: http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc ILUGC Mailing List Guidelines: http://ilugc.in/mailinglist-guidelines
