I was exploring Fantastico - a web application comes with cpanel, used on web hosting servers.
It lists the popular PHP based web applications and gives a one click install facility. It just asks for the location to install, admin username and password. Then, it installs the web application. It will be nice to build a similar command line application in python or ruby to install famous web applications in localhost. This will be very useful for anyone to explore any web application, without getting into the troubles of installing. Is there anyone interested in doing this ? Or is there anything like this available already? Share your thoughts. -- Regards, T.Shrinivasan My Life with GNU/Linux : http://goinggnu.wordpress.com Free E-Magazine on Free Open Source Software in Tamil : http://kaniyam.com Get CollabNet Subversion Edge : http://www.collab.net/svnedge _______________________________________________ ILUGC Mailing List: http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc ILUGC Mailing List Guidelines: http://ilugc.in/mailinglist-guidelines
