oh yes, absolutely - there are licenses for Open source software too, and a
company might be infringing on them by one or more ways - for example

1. Using assets (code, images, text, data) without attributing credit

2. Hiding branding information that attributes towards original author

3. Building upon code without contributing to the main branch which might
be on certain restrictive licenses

You might understand the magnitude if you know that there are many
companies that do open source audits as a business like blackduck, and
there are products that scourge through code to bring out any
non-compliances.
