Firefox uses the flash player plugin installed in the system for non-IE browsers. Chrome (and perhaps Chromium as well) has its own bundled version of Flash player (not necessarily the latest and greatest, but tested and tweaked for Chrome). Since flash player is proprietary software, there could be bugs in it which can be fixed only by Adobe. Whenever flash crashes my browser, I make it a point to disable flash on the site the crash happened and then load the flash plugin on demand. This workaround has enabled me to use a lot of sites that crashed the browser or caused it to hang. If you want better answers or solution to your problem, I think it would be better to contact Adobe via support forums. P.S. Avoid top posting emails to the list and instead use interleaved, trimmed posting.
