First try changing settings , disabling all extensions and see if it
works , if it doesn't delete the entire hidden folder of chrome(guess
its .config/google-chrome) which will be in home directory , that
should help .  I am pretty sure it wont come back unless if you
install those crazy extensions or run malicious JS .

Try using Ad blocker , No script extensions for a better browser experience  .
