Hi manimaran, you wil see a folder lost+found; you can check your partition size by using some tools such as gpartition.
or disks will be listed on left margin of your /home -- have you checked it. Do check it. disks which are not mounted will mount if you double click. default disk will naturally be mounted. If you are running the ubuntu without the liv CD/ pendrive. then it is sure that you have created some partition on which your ubuntu runs. do check out the number of partitions you have, the memory available and check whether it matches with all the capacity that you have in your PC.
