Hi

I have recently got a Dell Inspiron 17" Laptop online from US. I would
like to install Ubuntu and dual boot with Windows 7 Pro 64 bit (already
factory installed in C: by default. The HDD remains partitioned as follows:

1. 39 MB OEM Partition
2. 21.67 GB Recovery (System active Primary Partition) - created by dell
recovery backup tool
3. OS (C:) Boot, Page File, Crash Dump Primary partition

I have to shrink the partition C: to create two more partitions one for
data another for Ubuntu installation. I did a google search. Some suggest
not to use the GParted that comes with Ubuntu and has some issues with
Windows NTFS. Some say the partition utility of Windows 7 Professional 64
bit is not reliable. I shall be thankful, if some one guide me how to
proceed (with links or step by step instruction). I am dual booting my
desktop with Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and Windows 7 ultimate 32 bit without any
issues. I did not remember, what partition utility I used for that.

Thanks.
