*Description*:
Last year, hundreds of organizations joined together to create fun
introductions to computer programming for all to learn during Computer
Science Education Week. Over 15 million students tried an Hour of Code.
More girls tried computer science than in the last 70 years, with over 10
million girls participating in this worldwide 5-day event in 2013.

This global movement seeks to expand participation in computer science by
making it available in more schools, and increasing participation by women
and underrepresented students of color. Every student should have the
opportunity to learn computer science. It helps nurture problem-solving
skills, logic and creativity. By starting early, students will have a
foundation for success in any 21st-century career path.
Anyone, anywhere in the world can participate in an Hour of Code during
December 8-14, 2014. We encourage all teachers, parents and students from
all countries to join the movement.

Learn more on how to participate and help reach the goal of getting the
Hour of Code to 100 million students.
