Hello,

Our software team is using windows on their machine. Now our management
recommend to use open software for all machines. I would like to install
Ubuntu on their machine.

some of them are using cracked ms office/ other license softwares on this
machine.

Before installing Ubuntu I would like to remove all old windows files from
their HDD , to avoid future Microsoft checking.

I prefer "shred" command . Can you please confirm this will do the needful
to my requirement.

shred -n 100 -vz /dev/<windows-partition>
