Hello!!!
Every one

I have attached a tape drive to my comp through a ISA
card on which there are one LPT port (connected to the
tape data cable)
the other has my mouse. now these are the output of
"tail -f /var/log/messages"
[EMAIL PROTECTED] /]# tail -f /var/log/messages

ftape-calibr.c (ftape_calibrate) - TC for `fdc_wait()'
= 2020 nsec (at 2559 counts).
....all this with a load of support from Mithun
Bhattacharya
well the output of the exercise was the dam thing
still did not work ...did not get loaded properly and
could not read or write to the tape drive. Yes there
is power ...when i insert the Tape ...the drive
initialises and after that ...nothing.
i have a HP Colorado5GB (TRAVAN) (2.5GB uncompressed /
5 GB compress ) data .
now the second option for me is to install an AdvanSys
SCSI / PCI card....i connect the tape drive to it
(which i have never done before) and then try to work
on it.
third is that i switch between the printer which is
installed on LPT1 and the port on the ISA port.
support me guys to select which option should i go for
....personaly i prefer AdvanSysc SCSI ....what problem
will i face ...n how to proceed.

TIA
Nitin Chandra
