Sir, as you know, I use Mandrake 9.0. I am facing a peculiar problem on account of user creation from root. Whenever, I try to create a user it says "vipw lockfile (/etc/ptmp) is present !" thereby not enabling me to create a user. What do we mean by this msg and how I should handle it, please guide.
