dear all, so there's this really cool distribution of gnulinux.
FreeDuck. it boots off a cd, like knoppix. but is targetted towards children and students of all ages. a friend couriered me the cd all the way from pune. will bring it along to the linux user group meeting this sunday. those of you who want a copy, may carry it down to the photocopier downstairs and get some back-to-back photocopies done. do request you to look for a good-quality xerox machine. last time the toner was acting up and therefore KDE had some streaks right across it. so what do you do with freeduck, apart from making sure you get that last vowel in the name right? well, give it to your school, your former school, children, friends, neices and nephews, with instructions to make two more photocopies of the cd and pass them on. from what i've heard, freeduck is great for education and learning. hope somebody brings along a laptop or something so we can dump an iso image for future stuff. would there be a cd burner at the venue to roast some popcorns while xeroxing? :-) LL _______________________________________________ ilugd mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd
