Hi We have upgraded our mail server from PCQ linux 7.1 to PCQ linux 8.0. Our sendmail configuration is such that it delivers locally to all users in our local mail server ([EMAIL PROTECTED])& mails for outside domains to be sent immediately to smarthost(Leased line internet connectivity) (smarthost.ouroffice.co.in). Things were fine with PCQ linux 7.1. But after installing PCQ Linux 8.0 (Fresh Install), mails to outside world is not sent to the smarthost, instead it gives a message: ns lookup: sancharnet.in(e.g.) nameserver timeout, deffered. There is no problem receiving mails. We have Apache, Bind, sendmail & Squid (Dialup PSTN connection) on the same machine (local.ouroffice.co.in) I am surprised to observe that outgoing mails are sent to the smarthost if dialup connection is UP (configured as ppp0) I tried to configure Sendmail with M4 as well as webmin, but result is the same.
