dear all, While logging to my user account in Graphics mode, I have selected the environment as KDE desktop but after chanding the /etc/inittab from level 5 to level 3 for switching over in text mode when I enter my username and passwd in text mode and issue the command as startx I go to the Gnome Desktop for the same user. How I can go to my same desktop ie KDE in text mode. Secondly, in shell programming is it possible to display the texts in colour using tput cup commands ? If so, what is the syntax for the same.
