Malkiat, There is no root password in Knoppix,when you run it from the CD. All passwords are locked by default. You can use the "sudo" command to assume root privileges. Else you can set a root password by opening the root shell (K -> KNOPPIX -> Root Shell) and typing "passwd". You can also type "sudo su" or "sudo -s" in any console window, or use <ctr>-<alt>-F2 to get at the text console with already opened root shell. regards, -- narsingh ________________________________________________________________________ Yahoo!
