That is not a problem at all,..  all you need to do is to comment out a
tag from xml configuration file on the server and lo and behold no more
open registration for the end users.
Infact LDAP/MySQL can be used for storing the user authentication info
which only a admin may modify if need be.
Usual RTFM and STFW applies when someone actually wants to do it ;-)
