Well, that doesnt sound like a very intelligent thing to do! Galeon is good, but imho, Moz rules over it. Its flexibility and support are awesome!
There are a couple of things you can do to fix it. 1)Are you using the latest update of Mozilla? If not, i'd advice getting the latest version. 2)Which WM are you using it on? There might be an issue with the specific wm (kde, gnome etc..) which could be easily found.. 3)If neither works, get Mozilla FireBird and ThunderBird. Its the fastest browser/email client combo around. Hope this helps.
